With Pi-ZeroHP
I use it with a PI-ZeroHP card and it is perfect for my AKG Q701.
Just one regret: there is not the same card without connector to reduce the height of my portable music player.
Quite simply outstanding
A superb choice.
I upgraded from a no-name £8 USB device and was astonished by the difference. Absolute clarity all round.*
And while the Pi-DACZero is the same size as a Pi Zero, you might like to know that it also fits and works perfectly with the Model B and Pi 3. You'll lose two of the four mounting holes, but that's the only loss.
If you need only line-level hifi output, this is the product to get.
* playing music recorded from BBC Radio 3 at 48KHz, MPEG4, around 110kbps ... just fantastic.
Miniature in size, but a giant in sound!
This is great!
Bought this and the Pi-DACZeroHP together and it is the best use of a PiZero.
A miniature player with sound quality of the larger DAC's. I run it with Volumio 2 and it sounds great in my Sennheiser HD-600.
Significant upgrade!
I replaced my old Musical Fidelity V-DAC v1 with a Raspberry Pi 2 and the Pi-DACZero, running Roon.
I did like what I was hearing. It did indeed sound much better that what I had before. But I was still doubtful, as it is clear that the mind plays tricks and that improvements "heard" can be because you have just introduced something new, and you want it to sound better.
Then the lady of the house came into the room: "Has something changed in the equipment? It sounds so much better, suddenly!"

Excellent product
I'm very impressed with this latest addition to the IQAudio range. I've built quite a few players using the original Pi-DAC and Pi-Amp, all of which are working well with friends and family. This makes a low cost high quality player running in conjunction with Squeezebox server and Picoreplayer.. This latest version is ideal where the connection has to be via wi-fi. . A much better option than the Sonos product range in my opinion, and eminently affordable. Thanks very much to Gordon - service is always excellent
Superb sound quality!
I have purchased both the Pi-DACZeroHP and Pi-DACZero for my beloved RPi Zero and I must say that I am extremely happy with the sound quality. The DAC sounds great and it delivers a solid bass too. I am really impressed, it is absolutely incredible! The first time I have connected my AKG headphones to the Pi-DACZeroHP, I was literally blown away! I just couldn’t believe it!
Not to mention that Gordon has been very helpful and his support has been very much appreciated.
In simple words if you are looking for an excellent piece of electronics, superb sound and a great customer service at the same time then all you have to do is to stop your on line research and just place the order! Seriously, these guys do know what they are doing!!
